Reflection Task 2a

SACRED

I will mention you about “Sacred” which is my favourite computer game ! Sacred is a role-playing game, however, I think it is quite different from other RPGs. Now I will explain why I think it is different and why I like the game so much. Firstly, it  has an interesting story. The game goes in a magical place called “Ancaria” and lots of amazing missions wait for the heroes.

·
There are 6 different characters we can choose to play with : Gladiator, Wood Elf, Vampiress, Battle-Mage and Seraphim. I will not introduce them all to you because I don’t know all them very well. I generally play with Seraphim, who is an angel-like hero. She is quite beautiful and has lots of magical talents.

There are lots of obstacles like woods, seas or cliffs that keeps the player from going forward to fulfill the missions, but some magical transition points appear sometimes and beam you to quite distant places where you want to go. Below, there is an image of them.

During the game, you can get numerous missions because this is really an enormous game and it keeps quite a big space in computer. So, what kind of missions do we have ?! I will write as many as I can remember. Firstly, there are important ones like to clean an area from aliens, thieves, wild animals or to save the daughter of a nobleman from some bad situations like kidnapping etc, and you get some rewards of course. Moreover, there are some weird missions like saving the sheeps of a shepherd from wolves, or finding the the lost doll of a little girl or reviving a dead lover in depths of caves filled with zombies !

As for the enemies of heroes, there are a lot kinds of them ; goblins – easy to kill creatures, and they say funny words while they die-, witches, giants, enormous spiders, thieves , zombies, wild animals, mummies etc.

Apart from the enemies, there are lots of characters in the game that make it splendid. There are pretty villagers who likes or don’t like the hero, and if they don’t they say it on the face of the hero fearlessly. I think it is quite funny and realistic. There are children who sometimes stick around the hero and they say somethig cheerful by laughing or insults the hero, but the point is, the hero cannot hurt them no matter what. In villages, there are musicians playing in the squares, jugglers amusing people and it is enjoyable to talk with them. I would like to talk about the end of the game finally but unfortunately I have never managed it and I did not search for it because I will find out that myself one day.
